Tea Party

Our good friends Brittany & Victor recently did some traveling in China and came back with this beautiful tea set. So after a wonderful steak dinner we had our own tea ceremony complete with blossoming flower tea, which is what I'm so intently staring at in the glass. I loved hearing a bit about the tradition of tea ceremonies, like how you're supposed to drink your cup of tea in three sips.

  2. Three sips? Dang, I need to get onto practicing my tea drinking skills. And I have always always always wanted to drink the blossoming flower tea! Looks like magic. Did it taste any good?

    1. Haha, so funny that you asked if it tasted good! We came to a consensus that the blossoming flower tea tasted like cooked cabbage water. Not flowery at all. We were also drinking an oolong, that was much better.

  5. I brought some yummy fruity tea back from Beijing. We went to tea ceremony when we were there and some of the teas you are supposed to slurp -- it is rude not to! We had fun slurping :)
