Last Thursday Construction for Change hosted it's annual fundraising banquet and gallery featuring images from our trip to the Solomon Islands.
The story behind this project is wonderfully heartwarming. The U.S. Marine Raiders who fought in the South Pacific during WWII wanted to do something to remember and thank the people of the Solomon Islands who had assisted them, all these years later so Construction for Change is building a new school building, funded by the US Marine Raider Foundation. The Seattle Times covered the event and the article ended up on Friday's front page!
