Winter Skin

Even when I spend the majority of my time sitting in my office, somehow my face looks like I've had a freezing wind blowing at it all day during the winter months.

In the last few years, I've moved towards using mostly natural products and have found a few that have really helped.

An esthetician friend recommended rose hip seed oil as a moisturizer for my dry skin and it definitely does the trick for me.

A recently discovered this cleansing cream with rose hip seed oil in it and toner with lavender both seem to be helping too.

My saving grace for my lips has been the lip balm I made myself!

Also, drinking enough water is so important for your skin and something I'm really trying to be better at.

I'd love other suggestions so leave a comment if you've found something that works for you!

Photo from a video shoot a few year back on a day when I really did have freezing wind blowing at me and I swear my skin looked and felt like the giant stump behind me.

  1. I might to try the rose hip oil. I have been using a combo of moisturizers (currently using a Bare Minerals one), but I still feel like I look so much older in the wintertime! I am trying to drink more water, but so far it is not going so hot.

    1. I hope it works for you!

And jeez, why is it so hard to drink enough water? I feel like it's impossible some days and other days I easily drink more than enough without even thinking about it. I've been drinking a lot of herbal tea lately so that's been helpful.
