O Oysters, come and walk with us!The Walrus did beseech.A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,Along the briny beach… -from "The Walrus and the Carpenter" By Lewis Carroll, 1872
Have you ever eaten raw oysters? I used to hate their texture but in the past year or so I've grown to really love them-- especially with lemon and vinegar, yummm. Patrick and I stumbled upon a great little oyster bar/restaurant in the Ballard area of Seattle a couple of weekends ago called "The Walrus and the Carpenter." We loved the fabulous tapas-style seafood selection that changes weekly to suite whatever is locally available. In addition to oysters we had rock-fish ceviche, a fabulous potato and arugula salad, tasty olives and I had a delicious glass of rose Prosecco. Needless to say, we'll definitely be back this summer to enjoy their great outdoor deck and more first-rate seafood.
