Friday Roundup

What are you up to this weekend? We have some FABULOUS weather in store here in the Pacific Northwest-- finally! Patrick and I plan to spend the weekend soaking it up in Cannon Beach, Oregon. I'm really looking forward to spending some time just the two of us enjoying the ocean air and this wine festival. Also, I'm excited to listen to this audiobook on the drive down.

Thanks for tuning in for our baby/auntie/mom week here on the blog! Hope you enjoyed all the teeny-tininess! We're back to regularly scheduled programming next week.

But first, a few kid and non-kid related links from around the web to launch you into the beautiful weekend:

Most subversive children's books ever written

Best countries to be a mom (sadly the US doesn't rank highly)

Adorable, afordable and portable nursery

Loving this serving ware.

Who knew Mark Twain and Helen Keller were such good friends?

Super cool recycled tree house

Getting ready for summer: Sunscreen 101

Hilarious unnecessary quotation marks

Cute summery sandal platforms.

Jimmy Falon's Downton Sixby had me rolling.

Speaking of our favorite British drama, the Kitchn dreamed up some Downton Abbey cocktails, would you prefer the Lady Mary, Lady Edith or Lady Sybil?

Also, awesome drink mixing guide.

And since I'm headed to the beach, here is some theme music:

Have a fabulous weekend!
